Comments PG allowance is part of pay and should be treated as pay for the purpose of F.R. 9(21)(a)(iii) .... as per ministry of health O.M. dated 16.10.1975 and 27.11.1976 .These orders are available on web. These O.M. also mention that whenever this allowance is stopped due to promotion, Medical officer should not suffer loss and total emoluments should be protected as per O.M. dated 24.08.1987. BUT this is not happening and basic concept of PG allowance is totally disappear in latest 2009 notification by ministry of health. It is causing financial loss to doctors in GDMO cadre with PG qualifications.
